-
How do I take liquid extracts?Simply drop under your tongue or add to your coffee, tea, water or smoothie.
-
Why do your extracts contain alcohol?Alcohol is used to extract the alcohol-soluble compounds (mainly antioxidants such as triterpenoids) to make them bioavailable for the consumer. Without alcohol, our extracts would only include water-soluble compounds, missing out on the full range of benefits mushrooms can provide. The use of alcohol ensures you receive a comprehensive profile of both water-soluble and alcohol-soluble compounds, maximizing the potential of our extracts. The ABV content is around 25% making a normal dosage too small to notice any of its effects.
-
Where are your mushrooms sourced from? All of our mushrooms are either grown by us, wild foraged, or sourced from the most reputable growers across the US. We do NOT source any of our mushrooms from China.
-
What are mushroom extracts?Mushroom extracts are concentrated forms utilizing the most of its benefits. Our liquid extracts employ a double extraction method involving water and alcohol. This process ensures that both water-soluble compounds and alcohol-soluble compounds are present and bioavailable in the final product.

Why take liquid extracts?Eating whole mushrooms is a great way to obtain gut-boosting insoluble fibre, but most of the beneficial compounds you want are locked inside the cell wall (composed of chitin). This is where extraction comes in. Extraction involves taking raw plant material and applying a solvent to it, such as water or alcohol. The extraction process breaks down the chitin, making the full spectrum of beneficial compounds more readily available to your body to absorb.
